We are a family of three ocean lovers. Curtis was stationed on Maui in 2010 with the Coast Guard. He spent 4 years participating in search and rescue, first responder and drug interdiction on Maui.
Curtis is an adamant surfer and diver who can be found surfing big waves at Jaws and the outer reefs of Maui, spearfishing or scuba diving in his free time.
Curtis is also a 100-ton captain, who for years has driven charter snorkel and whale watching excursions on Maui. With his Coast Guard and ocean expertise, you can be assured of a safe and enjoyable experience on our tours!
Tiffany is who you will speak to when you call us on the phone and you may notice she has a different accent. Tiffany is from Australia and moved to Maui in 2020 after meeting Curtis on a surf trip in Bali the year before. Tiffany also loves surfing and snorkeling and her and Curtis’s relationship was built around their shared love for the ocean, travel and adventure.
Niya, is Curtis and Tiffany’s baby girl. Niya, spelt “Naia” in Hawaiian means dolphin. Niya also shares her parents love for all things water, nature and ocean and you will see her on tours as soon as it is achievable and safe to do so. Currently, under 1 year of age, you will occasionally see Niya at the end of one of Curtis’s tours, getting in the ocean for a swim with mom and dad.
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE
We are Maui’s original guided, clear kayak and snorkel tour company! Ohana Ocean Adventures has been running guided tours for the local Maui community and visiting tourists since 2017. We are surfers, divers, snorkelers, kayakers and adventure seekers. We love all things OCEAN and ADVENTURE and most of all we love Maui and feel blessed to call this island home.
Ohana is a Hawaiian word referring to a person’s “extended family”. We welcome a connection with Maui’s marine life, the living coral reefs, the community and our guests. Whether you are local or just visiting the island of Maui, we would love you to join our Ohana and share in our unique adventures.
We are also Coast Guard Veteran owned and operated. This should ensure you of our commitment to your safety and our diligence to having zero negative impacts on our marine environments and their wildlife.
OUR EXCEPTIONAL GUIDES
Our tour guides are passionate and avid watermen and women. They have a love and respect for mother ocean like no other. Each guide brings along their own unique ocean experiences including big wave surfers, divers, boat captains and Coast Guard Veterans! Our guides are CPR and First Aid certified.
